Shuttle Driver - Student Services
Available: Immediately
Terms of Employment: This position is on an as-needed basis and does not guarantee weekly hours. Most hours will be obtained at the start and end of each semester with occasional hours around school breaks.
Duties and Responsibilities: This position is part-time without benefits. Candidates will be responsible for shuttling students to and from various locations, including but not limited to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Airport in Wichita, KS and Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City, OK.

Athletic Training Teaching Assistant (Graduate Assistant)
Available: Fall 2020
Position Summary: The NWOSU Sports Medicine Department is seeking applicants for (2) Athletic Training Teaching Assistants. This position will report to the Head Athletic Trainer and is responsible for educating student athletes in the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of injuries within the University's comprehensive sports medicine program. The Athletic Training Assistant is also responsible for traveling with assigned sport(s).
The Athletic Training Teaching Assistant will also be responsible for educating student workers, interested in an Athletic Training career, in the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of student athletes’ injuries within the University's comprehensive sports medicine program.
The Athletic Training Teaching Assistant is responsible for collaborating with NWOSU’s Head Team Physician, Head Athletic Trainer, Assistant Athletic Trainer, and other Athletic Training Teaching Assistants in instructing student athletes and student workers on the most current and up to date procedures in prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of injuries within the University's comprehensive sports medicine program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach student athletes appropriate exercises for the prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses.
- Teach student workers appropriate exercises for the prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses.
- Teach student workers evaluation techniques of athletic injuries while demonstrating on student athletes’ injuries.
- Demonstrate and teach to student athletes how to treat and rehabilitate their athletic injuries.
- Teach student workers appropriate exercises to treat specific athletic injuries.
- Teach appropriate counseling and education techniques to student workers while demonstrating on student athletes.
- Demonstrate and teach student workers how to perform athletic training administrative duties.
- Assist with coordination and scheduling of medical coverage for home and away competitions.
- Supervision, education and recruitment of student workers.
- Demonstrate and teach student workers appropriate recordkeeping and documentation procedures before, during and after working with student athletes.
- Transport student athletes to scheduled visits with NWOSU team physicians, doctors and other allied health professionals.
- Work with NWOSU team physicians, doctors and other allied health professionals to deliver care to student athletes by demonstrating and instructing the Head Athletic Trainer, Assistant Athletic Trainer, other Teaching Assistant Athletic Trainers, coaches, student workers and student athletes the diagnosis and recommendations during a doctor evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- NATA BOC certified or eligible to sit for national exam.
- Oklahoma licensed or eligible for licensure.
- Current First Responder certification through the American Red Cross or BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
- Valid driver's license required.

HVAC Technician - Alva Campus

Terms of Employment: Regular, full-time 12-month position, with University benefit package. Open until filled.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under limited supervision, installs, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning units.
- Performs routine adjustments to start or stop seasonal equipment and performing routine maintenance.
- Maintains and repairs various electrical machinery including pumps and electrical controls, pressure gauges, and temperature gauges.
- Accurately interprets written instructions, including blueprints and specifications.
- Organizes and ensures needed supplies and equipment are on site and accounted for at the end of the work day.

Adjunct Instructor - English
Adjunct faculty members will provide quality learning experiences for students and support the educational mission of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ and the department of English, Foreign Language, and Humanities. Adjunct faculty members teach classes, evaluate student performance, and maintain student records in accordance with university policies. English adjuncts work in a collaborative manner with full-time English faculty and adhere to all of the policies and procedures as set by the department.
Duties and Responsibilities: English adjuncts will instruct up to three sections of first-year composition classes during the fall and spring semesters. Composition courses at Northwestern focus on expository writing, argumentation, and research. Adjunct faculty in English are instructors-of-record and are responsible for planning lessons, developing assignments and activities, grading and returning student work, and holding classes as scheduled by the university. Additional duties include answering email promptly, administering course evaluations, and meeting university and English department deadlines.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include at least a Master's degree. For those with a Master’s degree in a field other than English, a minimum of 18 hours of graduate coursework in English or a comparable field is required. Applicants with prior university teaching experience are preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities: The Assistant Chief of Police is a 12-month, full-time position located on the Alva Campus. This position is engaged in maintaining the public peace, enforcing state and local laws, safeguarding institutional assets and providing public service. This position also includes the duties of making schedules, approving time cards, and any other duties assigned by the Chief of Police.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice/law enforcement from an accredited college or university is preferred, or equivalent experience in the field of law enforcement. High School diploma is required. CLEET certification is required. Job Summary: Northwestern invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant/associate professor position in the department of English, Foreign Language, and Humanities. Assistant/Associate Professor of English and Program Coordinator of English Education

Duties and Responsibilities: Candidates must have experience teaching in the public school system. The successful candidate is expected to teach all levels of English Education, including Teaching Methods, Young Adult Literature, Usage and the Composition sequence; recruit and advise undergraduates; participate in committee work; and promote teamwork and collegiality within the department by working effectively with faculty, students, and staff. The candidate must be organized and able to draft and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data as needed for CAEP reporting. Serving as the program coordinator of English Education, the 24 credits per year load assignment includes field observation of student teachers and Teacher Education Committee responsibilities.

General Maintenance - Alva Campus

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in building forms, pouring and finishing cement; repairing appliances; erecting partitions and installing ceilings; painting walls and woodwork. Change air-conditioner filters, unplug drains, repair faucets, replace fluorescent light tubes. Repair equipment and do building maintenance. Mow grass with small tractor or self-propelled riding mower. Operate jackhammer, and occasionally operate trucks, forklifts, front end loaders, and mechanized equipment incidental to regular work assignments. Required to do heavy lifting which may exceed 100 pounds. Perform job-related work as required and assigned, and assist in emergencies when called upon. Qualifications: Knowledge of the types and uses of common hand tools, materials, and standard equipment used in maintenance construction and repair. Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching content, theory, and application to teacher candidates at the undergraduate and graduate levels; supervising student teachers/interns; advising undergraduate and graduate candidates; serving on various administrative, faculty, and standing committees as assigned; assisting in the development and submission process of program reviews for accreditation; maintaining a physical presence on Alva campus; and producing scholarly activity throughout the year. Assistant/Associate Professor of Business

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be based on the Northwestern Alva or Enid campus, teaching courses on site. Placement at the Enid campus will require commuting to the Alva campus weekly to fulfill teaching responsibilities, with occasional additional commutes as part of various division/institutional activities. We seek a motivated candidate to join our division of nine other faculty members who share a commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, as well as strengthening and helping our programs grow. Teaching responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, Human Resource Management, Organization Behavior, Principles of Management, and graduate MBA management courses.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Division of Business standard teaching load consists of 12/12 credit hours of undergraduate and graduate business courses during the regular fall and spring semesters with opportunities for overload compensation during the regular semesters and optional course loads in the summer. Additional responsibilities include advising, curriculum development, assessment of student learning, committee participation, student organizations/student competitions, ACBSP accreditation, and community involvement.
Preferred Qualifications: DBA or a PhD in Management from an accredited university. Preference will be given to candidates with previous university teaching experience, a strong academic background (18+ graduate hours in management), and experience as a corporate manager or business owner. Placement on tenure track conditional upon successful completion of doctoral degree. Prior experience with online teaching and online course development is desirable.

Custodian - Alva Campus
Terms of Employment: Regular, full-time 12-month position, with University benefit package. Position open until filled.

Duties and Responsibilities: Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and buff floors. Dust and clean offices, classrooms, halls, restrooms, and other assigned areas. Vacuum and shampoo all carpets, rugs, and mats. Collect and remove trash from interior and exterior of buildings. Wash walls and windows, chalkboards and marker boards. Replenish soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue where needed. Sweep sidewalks, clear snow, and spread ice melt when conditions warrant. Plant, weed, fertilize, and water flowers, grass, and newly planted trees and shrubbery.
Heavy lifting required which may exceed 50 pounds. Also required to work with several industrial chemicals.
Qualifications: On the job training. Dependable and capable of fulfilling job duties as well as working Monday through Friday and some evenings/weekends as needed for planned events and emergency situations.

Financial Manager (Internal)

Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the fiscal management and the maintenance of the accounting records for the Northwestern Foundation & Alumni Association. Individual will enter, balance and maintain fund accounting records, as well as produce regular and unscheduled reports for various meetings and individuals of the University and the Northwestern Foundation & Alumni Association. Individual will prepare for the Foundation’s annual audit and will be responsible for the management of the Foundation payroll. Individual will proactively assist in the management of all of the Foundation’s investment assets to ensure the maximum distribution of funds to the University and its students.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting or equivalent work experience in a related field preferred. Child Welfare Professional Enhancement Program (CWPEP) Secretary (Internal)
Available: Immediately
Terms of Employment: Part-time (5 hours per week) 12-month position. Located at the Alva Campus.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provide general secretarial support for Department of Social Work CWPEP grant. Maintains an effective working relationship with other employees as well as with visitors, students, alumni, and the general public. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the program administration of the CWPEP grant.
- Perform all administrative assistant duties, mange the CWPEP resource center and interviewing lab, and manage the CWPEP education and training center.
- Organizes student orientation trainings, type student contracts, press releases, etc.
- Assists the Department Chair with preparation of annual reports, prepares and processes purchase orders, invoices, travel requests, etc.
- Processes student applications.
- Keeps CWPEP student files up-to-date, manages materials in the student resource and interviewing lab and schedules use of the education and training center.
- Performs other work-related duties as may be assigned by the Department Chair as well as assisting in emergency situations as called upon.
Qualifications: High School diploma (or GED) required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Excellent secretarial and computer skills preferred. Knowledge of computer applications (MS Office applications and Outlook; and office equipment is required. Professional grammar and communication skills, ability to plan and organize work and being capable of tracking program grant and contracted funds required. Must be able to deal in a professional manner at all times.

Title III (LASSO Center) Academic Advisor - Student Coach (Internal)
Terms of Employment:
- Regular, full-time, twelve-month grant position with university benefit package located within the Title III office in the Ryerson Hall Building on the Alva Campus of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ. Note: This position is only available during the five-year grant term. The grant is currently in the final year of the five-year term.
- Regular, full-time employment with RUSO (Regional University System of Oklahoma).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and coordinate activities in accordance with Title III LASSO Project.
- Offer enhanced student engagement providing accessibility and being open-minded to all students’ needs; provide a safe-space for students.
- Provide guidance and support for underprepared students, undecided majors, and assist students with at-risk factors.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with university staff and faculty.
- Participate in coaching certification trainings and webinars with Title III LASSO Project partner InsideTrack.
- Conducts student needs assessments and coordinates the development and implementation of action and education plans for each student.
- Maintains caseload of students for individual academic advising, student coaching, and personal development activities.
- Monitors, evaluates, and reports on academic progress, intervening with appropriate support services when necessary, and refers to appropriate on- and off-campus support services as needed.
- Lead assigned sections of Ranger Connection, first-year experience course, and collaborate with other LASSO staff on yearly strategies to restructure and enhance.
- Facilitates awareness of LASSO Center by promoting the department’s services through design, facilitation, and presentation of institutional messages to students and university personnel for coaching and student success.
- Maintains current knowledge and competencies in student advising/coaching through self-directed professional reading, formal professional development opportunities, and professional contacts with colleagues.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Desired qualities include: customer service orientated, ability to work with students on a daily basis and handle student issues efficiently and in a timely manner; knowledge and experience in working with underprepared students and underrepresented populations; ability to work with a diverse student population; working knowledge of academic advisement procedures at the university level; well-developed computer skills including Microsoft Office.
