ALVA, Okla — The deadline for high school seniors to apply for the 2026-2027 President’s Leadership Class (PLC) at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ is March 23, 2026.

Students selected for this award will receive up to $2,750 in scholarship funds for their freshman year at Northwestern, plus be treated to an all-expenses paid trip to a major U.S. city with Northwestern President Dr. Bo Hannaford and other PLC members. Selected students will also qualify for early enrollment.

An online form as well as a printed application can be found on the . Print applications and may be hand-delivered or mailed as long as the deadline is met. The online form will be emailed directly to the Office of Recruitment.

Students should include a seven-semester transcript and SAT/ACT scores with the application and must meet all standard admission requirements to Northwestern.

Applications must be accompanied by one letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, high school principal, high school counselor, other faculty member or a member of the administration.

All applicants must submit a scholarship application along with the PLC application or have one on file in the Northwestern Financial Aid and Scholarship Office before the PLC application deadline. Scholarship application forms for incoming freshmen can be found on the .

Selected finalists will be notified by phone and/or mail about dates and times for an interview, which will be on March 30-31, 2026 and April 2-3, 2026. Interview finalists may choose to do their interview on the Northwestern-Alva campus in person or via Skype.
